HAZCHECK ONLINE

Shippers, forwarders and agents worldwide use Hazcheck Online to validate their dangerous goods shipments, produce documentation and to email a booking request to their shipping line.

Hazcheck Online is the subscription-based internet facility for shippers of dangerous goods. It is especially useful for occasional consignments and for document generation and transmission without the need for an in-house system.

The system will automatically take you through the process of checking a dangerous goods load for shipment in accordance with the IMDG Code requirements. It will help you to identify stowage and segregation conflicts, ensure that packaging is correct and produce a dangerous goods note when the load is successfully processed.

HAZCHECK GATEWAY

Hazcheck Gateway is the web-based compliance tool for shippers, container shipping lines, ports and logistics operators.

Check dangerous goods bookings for IMDG Code compliance and against operator, vessel and port restrictions for selected sailings. 49 CFR validation option for shipping into/from the United States under the IMDG Code.

Hazcheck Gateway can interface with Hazcheck Enterprise, a powerful and comprehensive dangerous goods booking and management system, for integrated booking procedures.

Hazcheck Gateway with 49 CFR option

US shippers and shipping lines have to take account of both IMDG Code and 49 CFR for sea transport of hazmat. 49 CFR§ 171.22 authorizes, with certain conditions and limitation, the offering of transportation to, from, or within the United States in accordance with the IMDG Code so long as it complies with the limitations and exceptions stated in § 171.22, 171.23 and 171.25. Therefore, 171.22 allows the use of the IMDG Code for classifying, documenting, marking, labelling, placarding, stowing and segregating hazmat transported within the US provided it meets the limitations and exceptions within 171.22, 171.23 and 171.25.

HAZCHECK TOOLKITS

Dangerous goods data packages and routines for incorporation into cargo booking, handling and planning systems. Many corporate system developments incorporate Hazcheck Toolkits data and programs to achieve fast, cost-effective implementation and the highest standards of functionality and accuracy. Hazcheck Toolkits delivers dangerous goods validation functionality in ‘building blocks’ for integration into existing or developing systems. Data files are available in Microsoft Access, CSV files or fixed format. Additional fields and formats on request.

Toolkits are available via the following methods:-

– Hazcheck Web Service – web service hosted by Exis or the customer
– a Windows DLL written in C# , for .NET users
– a Windows DLL written in C, for calling from other languages
– Java class files for non-windows applications

For each toolkit a small sample program is provided, with source code, to demonstrate calling the routines. The toolkits are self-contained and do not depend on other third-party products or access to external servers. The C# and Java versions are thread-safe, and can be called from a multi-threaded server application.

The IMDG Coded Variant List (CVL) is supplied by Exis Technologies as a free resource to assist companies in exchanging IMDG Code information in EDI messages such as BAPLIE and IFTMBF.

HAZCHECK WEB SERVICE

Hazcheck Web Service is a new service which allows companies to integrate the most current dangerous goods regulations into computer-based systems. It is a web API version of Hazcheck Toolkits, a set of dangerous goods data packages and routines for incorporation into cargo booking, handling, ERP and planning systems (for example, SAP and Oracle EBS) that have been used globally by container lines and ports over the past ten years. It offers IMDG Code compliance and the additional provisions and/or variations applicable when using the 49 CFR, ADR, TDG and RID regulations with the IMDG Code.

The ‘off the shelf’ web solutions offered by Hazcheck Web Service are:

Dangerous Goods List databases: check data including UN numbers, proper shipping names, variants, classes, subrisks, packaging and flashpoints. Wildcard searches supported.

Segregation/stowage routines: calculate the segregation requirements between containers/vehicles containing incompatible dangerous goods or segregation within CTUs. Identify if shipments are permitted on or under deck on cargo, passenger ships, in tanks, limited and excepted quantities.

Packaging routines: check that commodities are shipped in compliant packages and do not exceed maximum permitted weight or capacity

Restrictions and prohibitions: check against customer-specific, vessel, or location restrictions as entered on a case by case basis.

Hazcheck Web Service provides service-oriented access to the functionality of Hazcheck Toolkits using Microsoft Windows Communication Foundation (WCF).
